Zanskar Expedition

This 8-day adventure takes you through the breath-taking landscapes of Zanskar, where serenity meets awe-inspiring beauty at every turn. The journey begins with an overnight drive from Delhi to Manali, where you'll get your first taste of the mountainous wonders. From Manali, you head towards Jispa, a peaceful village nestled in the heart of the mountains, setting the tone for the coming days of exploration. On Day 3, the adventure picks up pace as you leave Jispa and drive through the striking Shinkun La Pass (16,703 ft), followed by a visit to the sacred Gonbo Rangjon mountain. Along the way, you'll pass through the forgotten hamlets of Kargyak Valley, providing a glimpse into the untouched cultures of the region. After an exhilarating day of exploration, you'll spend the night in Purne, where tranquility reigns supreme. Day 4 brings a unique experience with a hike to the dramatic Phugtal Monastery, set in a remote cliffside. After soaking in the spiritual atmosphere and stunning views, you'll return to Purne and head towards Padum, the gateway to Zanskar's royal history. The day concludes with a peaceful overnight stay in Padum. On Day 5, the journey continues with a scenic drive to Pensi La Pass, followed by a visit to the awe-inspiring Drang Drung Glacier. En route, you'll stop at the serene Sani Lake, located in the peaceful Sani village, before returning to Padum for the night. Day 6 is dedicated to local exploration around Padum, where you'll visit significant landmarks such as Karsha Monastery, Sheela Waterfall, Stongdey Monastery, and the royal Zangla Palace. These sites offer a deep dive into the rich culture and history of the region, providing a unique perspective on Zanskar's ancient heritage. Finally, on Day 7, the return journey begins with a drive back to Manali, where you'll begin the overnight trip back to Delhi.
